Highland
Heights Station Closes After 51 Years Of Service
In 1955, the Highland Heights Volunteer Fire
Department built a new larger firehouse where the now present day
firehouse sits. The building was funded with money from carnivals,
donations, and other fund raising activities. In 2006 the building
was sold to a church assembly from Covington. On June 12, 2006 at
7:00 pm the fire apparatus rolled out the doors of the firehouse for the
last time. The
new addition to
the Cold Spring station was made to house the additional equipment.
Below is some galleries from the final closing and past pictures of
Station 7 and Highland Heights. |
